People often use stereotypes about Islam to portray it negatively. Words such as hijab and jihad are misused and Muslims are misrepresented.
One brave Muslim has decided to put a stop to such misunderstandings. Ahmed Rehab, Executive Director of CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) Chicago, began a campaign he called My Jihad to explain what the meaning of jihad and Islam really is. This educational campaign has billboards all around Chicago with pictures of Muslim youth and other people.
This seems like an awesome idea for a campaign at school soon. Read more about the campaign at the link.
